Unique listeners
General information

The Unique Listeners report allows you to display the number of unique (non-repeating) listeners who connected to the station during the specified date range.

For each selected station, the report displays one graph (in the upper part of the report) and one table (in the lower part of the report).

The graph shows the total number of auditions and unique listeners for the selected period, as well as the percentage of the number of auditions to the number of unique listeners for the entire period.

The table shows the number of auditions, the number of unique listeners and the ratio of the number of auditions to the number of unique listeners per station for each day of the selected period.
The report consists of:
To generate the report, you need to select stations and a date range.

Comparison mode is available for the report. In comparison mode, a double graph and a double table are displayed for each station with the same semantic load as in normal mode.

The sum of unique users by day cannot be equal to the number of unique users per period. Moreover, such summation does not make sense. One user can connect several times during the period and thus create several auditions, but only one will be unique.

Ratio - the ratio of unique to the total number of listeners, will decrease with the growth of the selected period due to repeated listening of the same users.

1. Unique listeners are calculated based on the 3 main parameters of the listener's IP address, the site and the user agent, which are converted to a constant value (hash) using the algorithm and stored in the system.

2. If at one time there are several listeners who have the same hash, then the system will assume that these are 2 different unique listeners.

3. The "Unique Listeners" report is essentially a selection of unique values of the algorithm (hash) for a selected period of time.

4. The number of unique listeners is calculated in   depending on the selected period on the entire data array. I.e. if we take a day and a month, then a month is not equal to the sum of unics by days in a month. If you choose a day, then the selection of unics goes on the array of the day, if you choose a month, then the selection goes on the array of the month.
The report directly shows how the number of unique sessions is changing and you can indirectly understand whether the number of listeners is changing or not, and will allow you to approximately estimate your audience in people.
